Steemmonsters card delegation has been launched!
For those that missed the announcement earlier today, click to read it. I've been waiting for this option a while now, because it's something I was personally looking forward to use as a delegatee, but on the other hand I'm hoping to be able to delegate cards or decks myself as I don't fancy playing all the splinters.

How does the delegation function work exactly?
As I haven't been able to try it out yet, I think this quoted part coming from the @steemmonsters announcement make that pretty clear:
Initially card delegation is very simple. On the card details popup within the collection screen on the Steem Monsters website there is now an option to delegate cards that you own. You simply enter the account name of the player to whom you want to delegate them to and click the button and you're done.
Once delegated, you'll see a small delegation icon next to the delegated cards in your collection. You can click on that icon to remove the delegation at any time. Similarly, the delegatee will now see those cards in their collection with an incoming delegation icon next to them.
The delegatee will then be able to use those delegated cards on their teams in battles, and the delegator will not. Cards may not be combined, listed for sale on the market, or transferred while they are delegated to another player.
When a card is un-delegated, it returns to the owner immediately, however it is subject to the same 7-day cooldown period for ranked play as if it had been transferred. This is to prevent the same set of cards from being used by multiple accounts to move up the ranked play leaderboard in a season. There is currently no cooldown period for tournament play.

I took the change to rent a level 3 legendary summoner Valnamor for a month
With FOMO I immediately took the chance to rent a level 3 legendary summoner for the blue splinter when @aggroed showed his sheet of cards that he's delegating. I've been levelling up my fire and water splinter quite a bit lately, and I wanted to experience playing the cards at a higher level, as the current summoner is not able to summon them all yet. While I do have a few cards that need to be summoned by the level 4 summoner, I thought this would bring me a new experience with max please looking at my current deck. So I decided to go ahead and rent it for a month, and it's already well worth it, as I've had quite a few nice battles so far.

Looking to delegate cards / splinters for those interested
While the delegation option has just been launched today, and prices will differ quite a bit, I wanted to take the opportunity to ask players what they'd be willing to pay for a complete splinter on silver / gold / maxed level. I'm interested in finding out for every splinter and that is without the legendary summoners. But I'd also like to know what you'd be willing to pay per week for the dragon splinter with a level 3 Selenia summoner. I personally love playing the dragons myself, but I only started loving them when they were levelled and not everyone will be able to buy level 3 Selenia with the level 3 dragons in it. I have them and I wonder if I could delegate them per card or maybe better the complete dragon splinter? Maybe there's an easy calculation that I can use to find out the worth of a splinter to set a delegation price per week, but at the moment I don't have that, so looking forward hearing your opinion on that. Please let me know in the comment section what you think!

Winner Dragon Whelp Giveaway!
As I've announced in the contest post, which you can find here there were some entries not valid, as they didn't follow the rules. I personally don't mind people not voting something when it's a normal post and they leave valuable feedback on that, but what annoys me lately, is that I see quite a few people only leaving a comment to win something, but never leaving their vote on the post. Of course you don't have to leave a 100% vote everywhere, I don't expect that, but I'm a bit allergic to people that constantly behave like that. So those people didn't go into the raffle as I also told in the post.
The winner of the dragon whelp is: @hossainbd congratulations! I will send you the dragon today when I'm in my Steemmonster account.

Please don't forget to leave your comment with your thoughts on sm cards delegations :)
