黒い宝物を探して、京都の繁華街をウロウロ。
バレンタインのお返しを探しに行ったのである。
伴侶は食うより寝るより、何より喫むのが好きである。
そこで以前何かの記事で見かけたことのある世界最高級のタバコをプレゼントしようと思った。
ブラックトレジャーというイギリスのタバコである。
京都では3件取扱店があるということだった。
うち1件は遠かった。
比較的近い2件に向かった。
繁華街などあまり行くことがないので人混みは久し振りである。
一人の場合は人混みは平気だ。
伴侶は黒山が苦手で気分も悪くなってしまう。
今日は伴侶は想いの中では連れてきているものの実際は家でお留守番。
一人で割と早足に人を躱しつつ歩いた。
途中娘の好きなオムライスの専門店があった。
店の名前は好かないが娘は喜ぶだろうと思った。
歩いていると割とタバコ専門店はよくある。
葉巻、パイプまた煙管の愛用者もまだまだいるようである。
「トレジャーブラックありますか？」
一件目は空振りだった。
耳の遠いお爺さんが何度か聞き直したのちに「知りまへん」と言った。
二軒目のタバコ専門店。
この店は取扱店としてリストに載っていた店である。
入ると年配の女主人は接客中で、暫く辺りを見回しながら待っていると、客だと思っていた中年男性がタバコの箱を開けて陳列をはじめていた。
店員さんだったようである。
「トレジャーブラックというタバコありますか？」
「あーこれね」と大きな箱を出して開けてくれた。
「あぁー売り切れ！結構売れるんですわ。」
カートンの箱だったのである。
中身はなかった。
来週には入ってくるようだったが、もう少し歩けばリストに載っている店がもう一件ある。
そこに向かって歩いた。
京都で一番人の集まる地域である。
人混み、黒山をかき分け、躱しながら、サッサと歩いてリストの店に着いた。
「トレジャーブラック、、、、、、」
言い終わらないうちに出て来た。
ある所には当たり前のようにあった。
途中百貨店にも寄ったが、最近はタバコは自販機のみでライターすら売ってないということだった。
何となく百貨店に期待していたものが一つ失われた気がした。
黒い宝物を持って寄り道も考えたが、何となくやめて繁華街を見捨てて家の方へ向かった。
喫茶店には寄るつもりだった。
古い馴染みの店にしようか、最近の馴染みにしようか、
知らない店にするか、ブラブラ歩いて久し振りに古い馴染みの店に入った。
入ってすぐにマスターがいた。
「白髪が増えたな」
そう言って、幾らか話して、サンドイッチ、ホットコーヒーを飲んで、マスターを描いて、少しまた話して帰ってきた。
喫むのが何より好きな伴侶は喜んでくれたようである。
