Delhi wins Kolkata in Super Over

In this year's edition of IPL, Delhi Capitals defeated Kolkata Knight Riders to register their second win while KKR registered their first loss of the tournament.

The game was decided by super over where DC batted first in the super over to give 11 runs target for KKR while KKR only scored 6 runs losing 1 wicket in the super over.

In the first innings of the match, Kolkata batted first and gave the target of 186 runs. Delhi in reply scored 185 runs with the loss of 6 wickets after the end of 2nd innings. So, the game was decided by super over.

Prithivi Shaw played the superb innings. DC's opener Shikhar Dhawan scored 16 runs from 9 balls with 2 fours and 1 six. He was dismissed by Piyush Chawla.

Shreyas Ayer, captain of DC and Prithivi made 89 runs partnership which helped Delhi to go past 100 runs. The captain was out in the 12th over by Russell.

Rishav Pant played a vital role and made a partnership of 54 runs which made the scoreboard closer towards the target. Pant was out in the 18th over and Prithivi also got out when he was in 99 runs. He was 1 runs short of the century. He palyed 55 balls, hit 12 fours and 3 sixes.

The last over by Kuldeep was mind blowing. Delhi just needed 6 runs to win and the bowler was Kuldeep Yadav. Kuldeep had just gave 3 runs in his last over by taking the wicket of Rishav Pant.

The first three ball of last over was conceded for 1,2 and 0 runs respectively. At the situation when DC needed 3 runs, Colin Ingram took 1 run in the 4th ball. In the 5th ball Kuldeep took a wicket. Delhi needed 2 runs in the last ball to win and Colin again took 1 runs in the last ball while he got run out as well and the match was further decided by super over.

In the super over, Rishav Pant and Shreyas Ayer came to bat for DC while Prasidh Krishna came to bowl for KKR. Delhi scored 10/1 in the super over.

For the target of 11 runs, KKR send Dinesh Karthik and Andre Russell to bat for KKR while Kagiso Rabada came to bowl for DC. KKR scored 7/1 in the super over. And DC won the match.

Sandeep came to bowl in the 2nd over of the match where he gave only a single run in the last ball of the over. There was 5 dots in the first over of Sandeep.

In his second over, sandeep conceded 6 runs and took the first wicket of the match. In this over, DC as well as KKR both lost their review.

In his third over, there was a dramatic run out by Sandeep Lamichhane. A total of 5 runs was made in this over with one wicket loss by KKR.

In his last over, Lamichhane was hammered by 17 runs. 2 sixes and one four in that over.

In the last season of IPL, Sandeep Lamichhane played 3 matches and took 5 wickets and with this wicket, his wicket count reached to 6 in his IPL career.

When Sandeep was bowling, the commentators were praising his bowling skills as well as bowling style. They also mentioned Sandeep as a star of Nepal.
