Faci a s’annu 1000 a.C. is Fenìcius inghitzant a tenni arrelatas comerciàlis cun is pòbulus Sardus, e a disfrutai is calixeddas de is costas sardas, arribendi a fundai in logus chi fiant giài aposentamentus nuràgicus, is citadis de Nora, Sulki e Tharros faci de su de IX – VIII sègulu, e prus a tardu Karel e Bithia.

Around the year 1000 B.C., the Phoenicians begin having commercial relationships with the Sardinian Nuragic tribes and, taking advantages of Sardinian coasts and coves, they ground (in places where there were already Nuragic settlements) cities such as Nora, Sulki e Tharros in the IX – VII century and, a bit later, the cities of Karel and Bithia.

Mentris is Fenìcius teniant cun sa genti sarda arrelatas po su prus sceti comerciàlis, e is citadis fiant citadis-stadu indipendentis, Cartàgini est una citadi cun miras espansionìsticas imperialìsticas, e is citadis fenìcias sardas benint a essi vassallas de custa potèntzia chi controllat totu su Mesutèrraneu de scurigadroxu.

While the Phoenicians had mostly only commercial exchanges with the Sardinian folk, and their cities where independent city-state, Carthagini was a city (in today’s Tunisia), with imperialistic and expanding goals, and the Phoenician cities in Sardinian pass under this empire that used to control all the western mediterrenean.

Is testimòngius de custu tempus funt cuncentraus in is citadis de fundatzioni fenìcia chi apu arremonau prima, o a giru de custas, ma est difìcili a agatai struturas intreas fenìcias o pùnicas ca a pitzus de custas citadis si funt aposentaus is arromanus chi ant fabricau is edifìtzius insoru a pitzus de is edifìcius fenìciu-pùnicus.

The witness and remains of these centuries are concentrated in and around those cities that we previously mentioned. Unfortunately, it’s difficult to find Phoenician entire structures as the Romans built a lot over the Phoenician architecture’s layers.

Fait ecetzioni sa citadedda afortiada de Monti Sirai acanta de Crabònia chi podeus mirai in totu is stuturas suas. Is àterus testimòngius prus de importu chi s’abarrant funt costituius de is citadis de is mortus. Sa Necròpoli de Tuvixeddu in Casteddu est segunda sceti a sa de Cartàgini po manniori in su Mesuterràneu, su Tophet de Sulki e arrastus meda in Nora e Tharros si donant una bisura bastanti precisa de sa civiltadi semìtica chi at donau a s’umanidadi s’imperu de s’arfabetu.

Exept from the fortified city of Monti Sirai near Carbonia, that we can admire in all its structure. The other relevant remains from this period are the cities of the deads, the Necropolis. The Necropoli of Tuvixeddu in Cagliari comes second in size only after the one in Carthagine. These necropolis, together with the Tophet of Sulki and many remains in Nora and Tharros give us a good idea about the civilization that handed over the usage of the alphabet to humanity.
