A movie review and art, too. :) I like it. I think you capture the moment where things actually start turning around for Bill Murray's character. He had to come to a breaking point before he could actually get through the day without repeating it again.
I think it's one of Bill Murray's better films, especially with him as the main star, and while I'll always like him in Ghostbusters the best, this one isn't that far behind, and of course, has more of a message to it.
Hi Glen! Yes, I really enjoyed this movie. I did a reverse process learning about Murray's work, I first saw him in Lost in Translation, Moonrise Kingdom and St. Vincent; then I had the chance to watch his previous movies and was impressed to see his transition from comedian to a more complete actor.
There are a few people who have made that transition, or kind of ventured out into it. The most interesting ones to me so far have been Jim Carrey and Robin Williams. Both rather silly and over-the-top in their comedic approach, but both have managed to tone it down for different parts, or make movies that actually have more than just site gags and laughs.
Bill Murray has already struck me as someone wth a serious side, but wants to hide, for whatever reasons, behind the comedy.
Jim Carrey on his latest show is amazing! Robin Williams passing is such a loss, he made so many special films that I will always remember. It's true, it's like if someone can make you laugh out of nowhere, he probably has the talent to make you cry too.
