RE: Bot Series: Kerogi Bot

I was wondering where you pull the inspiration for your artforms/artwork and the messages contained within them?

Is it from FLCL? Studio Ghibli? Do you seek to fuse the organic and the synthetic as well like the prince and princess in Princess Mononoke?

You adore anime that is certain, am I correct in the assumptions from where it came from? the art, i mean. and the message.

Well u're correct in some parts. I do like anime. And I'm sure it has its fair amount of weight in how I do things. Even though I've wanted to make things super anime style I tend to deviate a little. Studio Ghibli definitively has some of my favorite movies and it does touch that spot of respect for nature and balance between old and new, technology and nature. But I've always felt drawn to nature, it always amazes me and inspires me. I since kid read a lot about it, about bugs, fauna and flora. About astronomy, dinosaurs and history of the planet. And sadly while growing up I realized all the damage and the impact of our "way of life" is real and nasty. Our education is horrible in average. We tend to trample everything alive for our own comforts. Even our own human fellows. I also since kid liked science and technology. I studied physics engineering, thinking I could make a real change, then reality hit hard with its god money fist, and I dropped school for good. And art is what I always wanted to do. So the message perhaps is a way for me to project my wishes for better ways with nature. Ideas for more civilized ways. I also like videogames and action flicks. So flashy action is present there in my head too. :D

Thank you for being honest with me and letting me know where you drew it all from.

I love princess mononoke, I love the stars, I love pretty much all ghibli stuff, and I love that samurai one.. Samurai champloo.. I see some of that in your style too..

cutting up the pieces with the flowy art style.
all hard edges and swords swinging.
no worries brother, we got a happy ending.
it all went back to the ground and to the stars.
ready to start all over.
paper crumples.
worlds crumble.

the pen is the mark of the eye, and all is drawn to the tip.
Enlightenment!!

Cool words mate, I imagine them at the rhythm and groove of the opening music of Samurai Champloo.
