RE: Dodging the Traffic again

in #business7 years ago

I'm a very reluctant car driver. I take your logic to even more extremes.

I had to drive 40 miles to work for a 9.15 start last Friday. I arrived at 8.30 - I hate traffic!

One of the best essays ever written IMO is Andre Gorz's The Social Ideology of the Motocar.

It inspired this early article of mine on steem.. https://partiko.app/@revisesociology/why-you-should-cycle-to-work-and-give-up-the-car-lifehack-01

I know what you mean. I used to have a monthly meeting on the other side of London. I booked into the hotel where the meeting was being held the night before to guarantee I wouldn't be late. I could never judge how long any trip would take as there were too many unknown factors.
I am going to read his article now.

Don't waste yr time on my link btw go to the original - http://unevenearth.org/2018/08/the-social-ideology-of-the-motorcar/

Him and Ivan Illach - two of my fave commentatorz!
