A tree will not die if we only cut its branches.
Similar with illegal drugs, it will not die if we only kill the users, pushers, dealers or druglords.

We have to root out the roots of the tree in order for it to die.
Then what are the roots of illegal drugs?
Why there are illegal drugs?
What is the history of illegal drugs?
Where are the sources of these illegal drugs?
Is it really possible to stop illegal drugs forever?
Yes, its possible, if we believe on the Last Judgement.
Everything bad will be gone for sure.

Sort:

An addition to what the President wanted to tell to every filipino that he has a story to tell about the police and policing body controlling the drug trade and its industry in the country. The ones who campaigned against the issue, ironically serves and protects the issue. It is really a non-ending business with an avoidable casualties.

The US is said to be the most powerful country in the world could not stop illegal drugs.
Other countries tried it but failed.

There's a saying that says, "If you can't beat them, join them."
I guess this is what most countries are doing about illegal drugs.
Those who are in illegal drugs, go on with your lives.
Those who don't, do with your lives as well.
Its what they call mutual respect.
Similar to prostitution.
In Singapore there is a place there that only for prostitutes and customers.
