I don't fully understand how you are going to give value back to someone like me who just put in 400 steem into the game. Didn't you basically just take my steem?

People invested STEEM because we knew we were earning STEEM back.
Looks like they took your Steem, changed the terms under which you spent it, and intend to substitute...

The problem is - they are completely changing the rules for a already live project. Unless they figure out how to give those tokens some value (profit sharing!) it's pretty much gone.
Yeah what is very infuriating ( unless I am reading it wrong ) is what about people who just put in money. Say this week? Other players at least had a chance to recover some money during the time they played.
A person investing steem today or within last week, for example, just got majorly scammed?
100 steem = +- 30$ = +- 1 normal game license.

Are the stated mechanisms in the game of no consequence? He got his upgrades, but the conditions that applied suddenly changed and it is not unreasonable for him to be upset that his expenditures suddenly have vastly different consequences that he was told by the devs that they would.
The game does not require you to put money in to play. If you want to produce more in-game currency at a quicker rate you are free top spend some money on the game. It is not an investment.
