Last week while I am doing my usual routine of checking new emails I stumble upon an email from a colleague.
As usual if someone is contacting me probably, they need my help or opinion. This time my colleague is asking as to why he cannot login to a certain WordPress account.
Whenever he attempts to login, he's always seeing this message "Your IP (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) has been flagged for potential security violations".

I did try to login the WordPress account in question and I am also greeted with the same message.
With the information that I gathered I came into conclusion that something is wrong on WordPress itself.
I tried to ask uncle Google about the problem and I found out that the problem is caused by an outdated WordPress plugin namely Jetpack (a toolkit for designing websites).
How the problem is fixed
Technically I did not do anything on my end. It was my experience on I.T. administration that did the trick.
I contacted the technical support since the website is hosted by a third-party web hosting service.
I told my colleague that the problem is about an outdated WordPress plugin. I instructed him to email the web hosting technical support and the problem will be fixed in no time.
As I expected, a reply from the web hosting technical support follows after a few minutes at the same time the problem has been fixed in their end (web hosting).
Also, the web host technical support instructed us to always update any outdated problem since they are always the culprit where problems arises in the first place.
