RE: OrangeTheory or tips on how to get the most out of your work out

in #fitness7 years ago

Haven't tried OrangeTheory myself -- but there's one right around the corner from me, and I have many friends that swear by it. Definitely find the structured workouts to be compelling -- and HIIT strategies have definitely worked for me.

Haven't gone to a strength-based fitness class in a while though. Typically, the only classes I end up going to are yoga classes -- then the rest of my training revolves around running/cycling outside (or inside), and some time at the climbing gym.

Thanks for sharing! Great post! We've resteemed this to the front-page of EXHAUST! Looking forward to more!

That's awesome - now that I'm getting older, flexibility is an issue for me - have you heard of the GymnasticBodies program? And how have you found yoga - it's something that I've been thinking about but haven't bit the bullet yet?

Haven't heard of the Gymnastics Body program. What's that all about? Reminds me of a book I saw ages ago about body-weight training called Defying Gravity.

Can definitely recommend some yoga. It's easy to customize it to be as difficult or easy as you need it to be each day -- and if you start to really get into it, you can couple it with some calisthenics movements and build some serious functional strength.
