RE: Butch and Sundance: An Afterword Of Their Story. Part 1

in #history7 years ago

Howdy sir towjam! Oh that was them that died there in Bolivia, the evidence is overwhelming.
They weren't real careful with writing letters to relatives and friends back in the States and
suddenly that stopped after the shootout. The Pinkertons had the post office situation in hand
and intercepted all their mail.

As far as Etta, I don't know. My thoughts on her is that she was the one who was wounded in
that big bank robbery. I don't know if you read that post though. But one of their big bank jobs
resulted in one of them being shot by the posse.

After that she was never seen again and never mentioned again. I think Sundance and her were
so much in love that they wouldn't have separated. And if they DID, he wouldn't have been able to
stop from writing all the time or from taking off to go visit her. I think that's why he was so depressed
and started drinking heavily.
So I think that's why she vanished without a trace.

Based on what I know about human nature and people I think if she DID make it back to the
U.S. she eventually would have talked about her famous life at some point. She would have told
someone and people can't keep secrets for nothing. lol. Someone would have told about it, if for
no other reason but to get some fame out of it.

Well you are the professional on these matters. I do agree with you that people can't keep something big in their lives quiet for long. It will be passed onto someone in their lives if for nothing else than someone going woah!

haha! howdy sir towjam! I totally agree. Thanks so much for reading and commenting!
