He took a slow step and was looking at an object for a longer time than necessary, he took a slow step such that it happened as if he was going to fall, Fin believes that Nathan, his son, is possessed by a demonic spirit, since his mother, his wife died a month after giving birth to him.

In their city, if a woman who has just given birth to a baby dies, they believe that it is the child who killed the mother and like that, the child is possessed by a demonic spirit, no one should associate with that child, therefore, Fin ignores his son Nathan, he stays away from him and refusing to see how he could make him normal, instead believing his own son to be a demon.

Ruth was Fin's sister, she was married and stays with her husband in the city. One Saturday morning, she came to visit Fin, his brother, Ruth was very happy to see everyone in good health, except Nathan, Fin's son, whose nobody pays attention to whatever he is doing in the house, even when the child may need the help of his family members, no one would associate with him, everyone left him alone to live his life of abnormality.

Ruth, seeing how they treat Nathan, got upset and talked to her brother, she said, "What the hell do you think you're doing brother?" Why have you decided to punish your son like this, after all these years?

Fin told her that Nathan, his son, is the reason his mother died, he is cursed and he would never have anything to do with such a child, Ruth couldn't contain herself anymore as she laughed at her brother Fin, because she knew what Fin was referring to, which are the beliefs of their land, Ruth clarifies to her brother Fin that what happened to his wife is not the child's fault, it is natural, she died a natural death, "how could it be a child that cause the death of his mother? she asked her brother Fin.

But Fin has already made up his mind that his son is the one who caused the death of his wife. However, that wasn't the thing here, Nathan was going through a lot, he had amnesia and needed medical attention, instead of his father to take care of his condition and find a way to get him taken care of, he decided to accept the belief of their land that his wife died because she gave birth to a demon child.

Fin was consumed by traditional beliefs, not even traditional beliefs alone, he put utmost trust in the barbaric beliefs of their land, that can do him more harm than good if no one enlightens him on how bad those beliefs are detrimental.

Fortunately, his sister Ruth managed to talk to him and make him see why Nathan needs to be taken to a hospital for treatment, this time he accepted what her sister Ruth told him and that was it, his son Nathan was diagnosed. he turned into sounds and he could respond to stimuli quickly, he could walk fast and he could talk like the other kids and not be looking at someone so many times before he could nod his head.

Fin was so happy after seeing the change in his son's health, that he realized there was nothing demonic about his son, it was just an abnormality he had as a child that makes him behave the way he did. He thanked his sister very much for opening his eyes and making him see that he was blind after all these years for believing that his son Nathan was a demon and that is why his mother had to die.

Fin told himself that he would never pay attention to barbaric beliefs again, he discovered that some of those beliefs are even worse than death.

Awesome story my friend. I love it when people price other people wrong especially if it's towards a positive light. I loved reading your story, you write so good

Thank you so much for reading and Sharing your view. @nelson-george

When people sees others wrong doing and correct them, it is a good ability because that person has just save a soul.

It's sad when people are moved by diabolical beliefs and end up hurting the ones they love..thank God for Ruth, she save her brother and his child..

You too

Thanks Sommy.

Welcome 😁

Most times allow silly beliefs and practices cloud our mind of judgment. It's a good thing Ruth came to visit, if not it would have been really hard to convince Fin that he wasn't treating his child well.

I'm the end he was lucky to get the chance of seeing his son do things normally.

Nice story, dreemport brought me here.

Yes Ruth was his savior, Fin's mind was so much clouded with ancient thoughts, he should do away with those kinds of wisdom, true 😊

Thank you for comments @hopestylist

Yes that's right and I'm glad he did away with them.

You are welcome dear.

Thank you so much dear for coming around 🥰

You're welcome dear 😊.

An interesting tale exploring traditional beliefs and their impact on society and family. I am curious as to who looked after Nathan as a baby and nurtured him as a child if his father and other members of the family completely ignored him - there must have been somebody taking care of him in the shadows... I would have loved it if you had shared this with us as the readers, as that person is the silent hero in the story ❣️

I came upon your post in Dreemport 🙂

Wow! That's true, Thank you for reaching out to me @samsmith1971 🤗
