The new boy / El chico nuevo [Eng - Esp]

in Writing Club2 years ago

Everyone looks at him, with his strange face, hanging on his catapult bag, where books, erasers and pen were inside, he walked like a supersonic, as if he was not a human being, as if he was going to fall, he acted strange as he was new in the environment, he sits in the school garden and looks at others' students, the school looks like a monastery to him, that is where he wanted to be, he was a kind of person who does not talk much, but show by action.

Even when he was in class with the teacher and the other students, he behaved strangely, the teacher would ask him a question and wait for an answer, Joel would stand up and hardly say anything, not that he wasn't intelligent, but he couldn't speak from the moment he entered the room, when he stood up, he struggled to sit down, he kept standing and standing until the end of the class.

So many people were talking in his ear, telling him that he didn't need to be in this kind of school, but that where he needed to be was in a monastery, learning from the Master Monks and becoming a monk someday, that he found his innermost self calling him to a different place while he struggled to be where he was.

One day, in the cafeteria, a student shouted so loudly and faintly, it was a kind of noise that distracted almost everyone around the cafeteria, including the people inside the kitchen cooking.

He was taken to the hospital but no illness was found to be the cause of his fainting, he was really a strange child, that was what the doctors told the school teachers who took him there, Joel's foster parents came to the hospital, and they were crying, but seeing that their son was fine, it was a relief and a joy to them, he was discharged that day, and he spoke to his parents, telling them that that particular school is not a school for him, rather he should be taken to a monastery, that is where he had a calling to be.

"I am destined to be a monk, that is where I see in my dreams and in every daylight that speaks to me." Joel spoke for the first time in his life.

His parents were pleased, because he hasn't said anything since they adopted him, rather he stays quiet, looks at you and sometimes follows instructions given to him.

"We'll do what you said, sweetheart. The mother responds excitedly.

They took him to the monastery and enrolled him as a student.

Five years later, Joel was named the best student at the monastery, with double honours, and the school management gave him a title of recognition.

"The picture on the wall shows his time of exercise, prayers, commitment and love for his monastic beliefs, the way he smiles and shows his abilities when he wants to make me smile too, they are unique".

Joe's brother tells his two sons a story about their uncle, who lives at the monastery.

This is a fictional story, thanks for reading and have a nice day.

Hahaha... Joel Actually didn't need to be mute all those while before he could go to monastery.
Meeting people that don't talk when needed are scary to me 🤣.
