Greetings Hivers,
It's a hot summer day in Kobe Japan. How have you been passing the summer days? Today I'm sharing some of what we've been up to in the past week. I'll share about some coconuts we saw, our BBQ dinner and three legendary Jamaican ladies.
Thai Coconut
Found these coconuts by chance in a huge supermarket recently. Of course they were not grown in Japan. Upon checking I confirmed that they were imported from Thailand. I couldn't resist buying one for sampling. Depending on how it tastes I may be back for more.
Home BBQ
This is one of the ways we've been passing the time at home. We bought a few meats, shrimp 🦐 and vegetables along with some sweet onions we got on our trip to Awaji Island.
Our family enjoyed preparing, cooking and eating this delicious food. It was a nice mix of meat and vegetables.
Jamaica's Legendary Ladies: gold silver bronze
The Jamaican 100m trio were at it again as Shellyann Frazer Pryce clocked 10.60 to capture the good medal 🥇 at the Lausanne stage of the Wanda Diamond League in Switzerland. Elaine Thompson was a close second at 10.64 while Shericka Jackson rounded out the top three with 10.92.
It seems the Jamaicans ladies have cemented their place as top contenders for the 100m race as this is the third major track meet where they captured the top three spots.
Do you think that the 10.49seconds 100m women's record will be broken anytime soon? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
