Greetings Hivers,

Jamaica's 4x100m relay team struck gold in Tokyo Japan yesterday with a time of 41.02.
The team consisted of Briana Williams, Elaine Thompson Herah, Shellyann Frazer Pryce and Shericka Jackson.

The USA and Great Britain were second and third respectively.

Congratulations ladies. Well done.

This 🏅 gold medal brings the current gold medal tally to four for the Jamaicans and places the small island 🏝️ with a population of 2.9 million (138th) people in 19th place in the world.

I wonder what the results would look like if we adjusted the medal rankings and presented them in a per capita format for each country.

Stay connected, stay safe.

Sort:

Per capita you can throw Jamaica to the top right away,as long as you don't forget to calculate the track and field events.

Wow, I had no idea China was on top of the list 🙈; they train their athletes as if they were machines 🙈.

Congratulations are in order 🎊!
