I got excited at first to think that perhaps you were on your way to becoming successful with a new way to earn. I guess it isn't worth it in the end if you are carless in a place that has no stuff. It's so frustrating that a place like that is so expensive. I would have loved to devour a buffet coming from you guys.

We lack the reputation and expensive locale to demand such prices I guess, but we've also noticed a lot of racism here in the last year. There was a viral Facebook video making the rounds of an older Guyanese couple pleading for help, and they said they had nothing to eat, no more income, etc. The couple had obvious lived here for many years and even had a small home, but the half of the Surinamers said things like "go back to your country" and "you don't have to stay here." The video really opened our eyes to the amount of hatred here hiding under the external multi-ethnic surface.
