Love the vibes!
Fi real with Beres you could choose any song and its a classic anyone anywhere can listen too.

My word, I haven't seen or heard that Jimmy Cliff in ages, really like that video, it really gives that one love vibes Reggae music is all about. And what a location, in Brazil where there is such a melting pot of colours and race.

What I love about that Shabba and Maxi song, its classy as well as rugged, the artiste vibes blend really well together.

and most Jamaican men, ahem! I mean most guys😜, well, and some girls too).

HAHAH a lot more girls than back in the days ( looks to the left at my co-worker 😄)

Wicked selection @millycf1976, thanks for this post. Would love to know how the Reggae scene is/was in the Philippines.

Thank you very much @dmilliz
This post brought me down memory lane and re-energized me in a positive way.

I know Japan is big on Jamaican Dancehall & Reggae Music, so no surprise Japanese, Junko Kudo held the Dancehall Queen title 😍

Here in the Philippines, they do play some Bob Marley, but I'm not sure if the full meaning, understanding and appreciation translates. It cracks me up when I go to my local Gaisano Mall and I hear them blasting out some Vybz Kartel songs (which you know needs to be censored 🤣) that I would never ever hear on a radio in Jamaica, and then next minute there's a break for Mass and I'm hearing "Holy Mary Mother Of Grace..."! I think that hilarious😂🤣 and I just love it!!!!

Yes mi dear, I felt like I could see glimpses of those memories.

Yeah man, Reggae is BIG here, the last few years its been on a down trend, but it never dies. A HUGE Reggae wave coming soon here though, I can feel it. So many young dancers here , I mean like ages 7-14.

HAHHA, they have no clue what they listening to, just vibes catch dem. 🤣🤣🤣

Kevin Jackson soon very familiar. I wouldn't be surprised :)
I know Ovando and met his wife on Hive.
It's such a small world.

I wouldn't be surprised either.

HAHAH yes! Especially when you come form Jamaica! 😄

Yes, it's always nice to meet Jamaicans when overseas. Are you fluent in Japanese now?
I used to work at Half Moon in Montego Bay and in the 90's Japanese was the biggest clientele. I fell in love with Japan and the Japanese culture, and I still have a very good friend there. It's hard to communicate because she speaks very little English, and I speak no Japanese. The online translation is hilarious sometimes. I can get the gist of what she's trying to say, but never quite sure how much we understand each other :)
