Hello Afri-listners, it's a great pleasure to have you on my music blog today and for that I'm really grateful and I hope you don't leave here unentertained, hehe. This week is the 87th week of afri-tunes weekly contest and I'd be participating in it with an African song from an amazing singer and song writer called Gyakie. This song was released about 3 years ago but then it still feels like just yesterday.
Gyakie titled the song"FOREVER". She uses her choice of words to express her love and loyalty to her other half. The song is a song of commitment and trust, her words were careful selected to get her message across to the love of her life, those words were more like her vows on her wedding day and I think that's why in the second verse, she said "Good morning my love, oh my Love it's our wedding day, I'm so glad I found someone to hold till eternity".
The song is not so technical but then it's so beautiful and captivating, if you've listened to it once, you'd definitely want to do so again. I'd say Gyakie nailed this song and I just love her for that. And it will surprise you to know that this is her only song that I've ever listened to for a long time and that because I found it worthy of entertaining my ears.
So today I bring to you a song cover of FOREVER BY GYAKIE, I want you to enjoy yourself as you listen to the song because that's what it's meant for, to entertain YOU!
I wasn't able to put the lyrics on the screen as I'd have loved to because I allowed my laziness to get in the way 😬. So you can just click on this link to get the FULL LYRICS.
