Get used to saying that.
"Welcome"
People will start coming back soon.
Don't hold a grudge.
It's been an incredibly difficult time to be here. Not just lately either. For a long time.
A lot of little projects popped up. Some of this community, original diehard "Steemians", as they were called; they left. A lot of those little projects, knockoffs, and clones of what we're doing here, copied some of the same problems or went backwards, or screwed up, royally, in no time.
I won't mention any names of those projects though, and I'm glad I didn't waste any time double posting.
I'm a huge fan of mistakes.
Once you make one, and see yourself, honestly; there's the new and improved you.
I don't blame those people for leaving. Majority of us here are powerless. Doesn't matter what you say, how you say it, where you put it; yelling at the clouds.
Until the ball finally starts rolling again. Maybe I did make an impact. Maybe some of things you said did matter. Maybe they were listening; instead of talking.
Palnet
The epitome of perfect timing.
The answer to so many questions.
Will 50/50 work? Yes. Even though many said, without any proof, that nobody would work for 50%, and even though many said, without any proof, people would earn less; Palnet proved them to be wrong.
People are flocking to Palnet, even though curators take 50%.
And look at this:

Currently, one PAL is worth $0.16. I earned about $1.40 more in PAL. Forget about the selfishness though. Who cares about me. That post generated $9.12 for the entire Palnet community members who contributed to that post versus the $4.06 placed in the hands of the Steemit community.
Of course I'm happy to be a contributing member of both communities. It's all STEEM. All I'm noticing is how much more value could be placed into the Steemit community under a 50/50 system with more curators willing to contribute. More people willing to vote means more to the content producer, even though the content producer takes a smaller percentage, plus more value generated and dispersed to curators.
Everyone earned more in this example.
If I'm not mistaken...
That's a good thing.
And I'm certain once people begin to contribute again, instead of getting paid to look away, like they do now on Steemit; I have a strong feeling many who left, will return. I have a feeling, they will want to contribute.
I'm not going to hold a grudge. I know some folks aren't going to like me too much, for being so outspoken about a few problems in the past. If people are voting again and skipping over my work if they see it, just because it's mine; that's fine.
I can start again.
Anyway
I just felt like writing down some thoughts tonight.
My humor posts lately haven't been performing too well. I've been experimenting with comedy again so of course I miss the crowds. It was cool though to see a few stop in and tell me I brightened up their day. As ridiculous and obscene as some of those bits can be, the goal is to make someone out there smile. I know that sounds lame to some of you out there but trust me when I say, it's important to me.
Art posts have been doing well but again, the art is nothing without eyes to see it. I think I can do better once the crowds form.
Here's an old one:
One of my favorites...
