RE: #needleworkmonday | Dennis the Menace Stripes

Thank you 😊 One of the great things about #needleworkmonday has been realising how I want to spend my time. Although my father taught me to knit when I was about seven, I've only started to become proficient in the last two or three years. It's interesting watching your progress, because I see my own journey there. I'm really interested in knitting as an artform, and at the moment I'm building my skills and understanding. I try to knit every day, but that doesn't always happen, but it's that practice and growing a deep knowledge of myself and my materials that I'm aiming for.
On a lighter note 😊 - I'm becoming adept at adapting patterns to get a faster result. The work in the post was accomplished over about ten days and, work and family permitting, I'd like to complete it in the same amount of time.

Dang! If I could knit like that in 10 days then my whole wardrobe would be of handmade items. It would take me several months to do that type of work and it would not be pretty. I will continue to work and practice though because I am finding out that I am learning how to adapt in knitting what I already know how to do in crocheting. It is very educational watching this community share their talents and skills.

It is :)
