RE: Before Sunrise on the Mountain / Vor Sonnenaufgang am Berg

First: Thank you very much, that you like the photo that much, @janton πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ™‚

You asked a very good question. My answer is, that I was just too lazy and I think, I wouldn't have had enough power to hike up there, since I was smoking a lot and I have not done any sports until I quit smoking last year. That's my only reason ;)

But: I have been so often up there when I was younger, that I do know this mountain so well. My family has spent all Summer holidays up there, and when I was older I have been on that mountain alone with the family, which ran the restaurant on the mountain pasture.

Oh there is a restaurant up there? Have you posted about that?

It's a cottage, a bothy (Google translation ;) where hikers can eat and sleep and drink, sing and have fun :) Friends of my parent ran it for many years and they had children in may age, so I haven't been alone.
No, I haven't posted about it yet, but I might do so when I'm up there again next year. This time I have only photographed the mountain and the landscape.

That sounds like a very nice type of cottage, too bad we have no photos of them. That will be a very interesting post when you get around to it. I hope I'm still on steemit when you finally do. 😁

Be nice to Mrs. J and you will still be on Steemit next xear ;) lol
This is the cottage: http://www.hochstadel.at/

I just hope steemit is healthy and growing next year. I hope they make some improvements to help new account too.

Oh that is a great looking cottage. What views too!

Never give up the hope, my friend πŸ™‚
Nice cottage, isn't it, and it has not changed much from the outside since it was built many years ago :)

Is that one that they live in all year or just part of the year because of heavy snow?

They are there from June to September or October, depending on the weather. In wintertime there is a room open as emergency shelter for snow hikers, who need it.
