The numbers are a bit dated now, but last May I did an analysis of how many Minnows (and other classes) there might be at some point in the future when we had many more accounts than we have now. The results were eye-opening:

        I don't see a billion accounts coming in but yep, there isn't going to be much Steem to go around when in 20 years there is only 650 million available. Fun times ahead :)
