I can't believe that we are now in the fourth version of Kim's Taste! I can say that everything has been great so far and I don't have any reason to stop doing this.
As for this time, I'm going to deviate a little bit from my usual format where I will give reviews and rating based on the criteria I initially set. This time, it's going to be purely about the food and its flavors.
Let's start! I'm going to describe Burrow's chicken wings as much as I could.
Burrow is an unlimited chicken wings restaurant located at Parkmall, Tipolo, Mandaue City, Cebu, Philippines. It's on the veranda of the second floor at the west side of Parkmall. It's famous so you won't have a hard time locating it once you're already in Parkmall.
A little deviation from my standard format is to be observed because this time, I'll focus on food, particularly chicken wings and its flavors.
As for the Place, it's pretty standard and minimalist at the same time. For the Price, it's also standard for an unlimited restaurant with a certain niche on its menu. It's about Php 199.00 for unlimited chicken wings and rice + Php 60.00 for a bottomless iced tea. For the Service, it's also standard Filipino hospitality and service. The staffs are friendly and accommodating.
Now for their chicken wings flavors, I will rank those flavors from my most favorite to the least favorite. There are five flavors to choose from depending on the sauce they were dipped after deep frying. These flavors are: [1] Classic, [2] Mild Teriyaki, [3] Asian BBQ, [4] Chili, and [5] Garlic Parmesan.
[5.] Mild Teriyaki
Don't get me wrong. I love all the flavors at Burrow. It's just that I have my favorites and this one is my least favorite. Maybe because I am not a fan of sweet sauces. Since this flavor is based on sweet soy sauce, I would pick this last.
[4.] Asian BBQ
This one is also based on sweet soy sauce so it's sweet, but I ranked it at 4 because of its tanginess that the Mild Teriyaki lacked. I would prefer this one over Mild Teriyaki.
[3.] Classic
This one has no sauce, but perfectly seasoned. Burrow's chicken wings are so tender, juicy, and just falls from the the bone. It's also well seasoned and marinated, so you won't regret eating in this restaurant.
[2.] Chili
I love spicy food, so it's no brainer that this flavor is on the second most favorite. It's not too spicy, it has the right kick, and it's bursting with flavor that will make you continue munching on those wings. It's definitely worth a try.
[1.] Garlic Parmesan
This flavor is on the top of my list because it's really on top. It's creamy, cheesy, and delicate. It balances perfectly the flavor of classic chicken wings and it's perfect for those who hate spicy food. As for me, I eat this one in alternating fashion with Chili flavor. It cancels out the spicy flavor of Chili so it's perfect for toning down those extreme flavors.
Overall, I would give this restaurant a score of 4.8/5. I guess it's just fair to have this score considering all the factors about the restaurant.
