It was an impromptu BBQ on Saturday. After a doctor check up and garage car pickup, we saw one of our friends on the road and greeted them on the street in true Jamaican style “ yo……..”. They told us about a bbq about to go down at one of our mutual friends’ place. Of course I had to bring some jerk, but there was no time for a 24hr marinate, 45 minutes would do the trick.
At first the ladies were outside on the grill, something that never usually happens but me and the man of the house weren’t hungry, we were “watching the kids” and also catching up on life. The thing is when we are in charge of the grill, we make sure to pass some of the eats inside, not so with the ladies 😂.
No meat was forthcoming unless we got up off our asses and into the sauner that is the Japanese summer. Yeah, the main reason we didn’t take charge of the grill was because it was too flipping hot 🥵.
After some time, I told the ladies put the jerk chicken on, then I rolled outside to complete it and get some grub, at that point a rain storm was on the verge of reaching havoc. My peeps in the Kanto area of Japan can tell you about the crazy weather we have been having.
Before the rain came down I chilled a bit and got a few things grilled. Was trying to make a fancy plate but it didn’t turn out too photographic. The taste was good though.
