It's no news that Drugwars which occupied the top rankings on the #stateofthedapps is diving deep beneath, and literarily it seems as if they've dug their own grave, but one thing I'll like to point out is that we've seen that the sustainablility of the dapps cannot be reliant on @ned's 39 million sp lying in the hands of @misterdelegation in other to be functional, this was proven by the disastrous downfall of Dsound and Musing.io and obviously Dlive predicted was fortunate enough to bail (not that we loved how they bailed) but sometimes I think they know that centralised sustainability may just be their end because they couldn't have matched up or met up to dtube's standards I'n all fairness.
The the truth is that drugwars may be a ponzi, but no one cared, since they were making steem and getting steem and this systematic ability is the reason why drugwars topped the rankings, I know so many people who loved drugwars expecially @themarkymark @exyle and my good friend @streetstyle and I'll really love to hear their opinion as to why Drugwars is adopting "FUTURE" a futuristic token that's quite a little bit uncertain.
My angle of writing this is very simplistic; drugwars couldn't maintain their sustainability for long and currently I can't fault them for this, they built an amazing DAPP and qudos needs to be given to @hightouch and his Dev guys, but like @rok-sivante once said, sometimes we need to learn how not to run a DAPP rather than how to run a DAPP, the truth was that people accepted it's pattern of sustainability when it started and inasmuch as they didn't update people maybe one week earlier about "FUTURE" I'll definitely say it wasn't really compulsory to put money and I'll definitely deduce from this by saying people didn't ask the right questions when drugwars kicked in and if they had done they won't put in what they can't afford to lose afterall you can loose with MAGDICE and still continue playing the game, it all boils down to the fact that drugwars is an amazing DAPP with awesome concept, but they could've told people about their long term sustainability plans and people on the other hand should have known that drugwars is a gambling gaming DAPP, instead of building their lives investments on it like it's a sort of insurance, blockchain or bitcoin.
Truth is people aren't angry they lost money, they're angry that they saw drugwars as a means of doubling money and it went sour. All said and done, the blockchain isn't perfect, people like @acidyo spoke highly of this game and I believe it's not because it'll make people rich but because it'll bring or herald the future of gaming dapps on the steem blockchain, now dapps are in dangers both the self sustaining and the @ned's sustaining ones, because the two types of sustainability shows uncertainty as to what level they'll reach before they become unviable, that's why I'm saying we haven't still found the best way to keep the dapps lucrative and functional for let's say a life span of 25 years without a glitch, maybe the SMT? I don't still think so, truth is I don't think the DAPPs is the SMT primary aim, the dapps needs a less decentralized and a less centralised method of sustainability and it could take long for prospective DAPP owners to develop this formula, and as for drugwars, I'm saying they're down, but who knows they may not be out who knows?
