Winners of the Natural Medicine Challenge! Congratulations!

My Post (2).jpg

One of the best things about this challenge is that those writing on it learnt alot. We quickly realised that it was the exploration that was most interesting. Sure, we'd HEARD of the plants set for the challenge, but what else could we find out? No one needed to be an expert, but everyone had to be a natural medicine EXPLORER!

The favourites? Basil and plantain won in that regard - by far the most popular plants of the three. @frejafri even drew a beautiful drawing just for the challenge!

To catch up, and learn more, here are the entrants. If I've missed you, please let me know in the comments and I'll update it as soon as I can.

@naturalmedicine, @sagescrub, @enginewitty @quochuy and @riverflows all donated 5 Steem for the winners, so I thought that 5 x 5 would be perfect, surely? Check your wallets folks - prizes coming soon!

Okay, and now for the winners -- first brew yourself a tea, ingredients and photo courtesy of dear @walkerland:

1 Tbsp dried sweet basil
2 Tbsp fresh sweet basil
1 Tbsp Rosehips (optional for extra vitamin C)

@nateonsteemit & @metemetheus for their detailed and informative posts on Elecampane!
@freyafri - your artwork is superb!
@crescendoofpeace - loved the detail of your informative post on an incredible plant, plantain!
@phoenixwren - inspired by your plantain salve!
@digitaldan for your last minute but BEAUTIFULLY presented post on basil!

This post is set to schedule, so it might take me a day or two to get that Steem to your wallets - it will be coming, so please be patient! Sorry for any super late entries - we couldn't hold off any longer! We'll add to you to this post if we've missed you and celebrate you in next Monday's curation, so never fear! We gotcha!

The next challenge starts Sunday (tomorrow!) -- If you've read this far, or if you're in the Discord, you have a head start on thinking about what you might write about! The next challenge will ask us all to explore valerian, salvia divinorum, and/or thyme!

@naturalmedicine votes @enginewitty and @quochuy as their witnesses - we love the support they give small communities!

Please get in touch if you'd like to donate to the next challenge. We are small, but are growing with the help and support of the wonderful people of Steem!

Woot, thank you so much! Now I gotta go see the entries I missed, since I haven't checked in a little while. :D

This collection is like receiving a warm hug. There is much plant goodness here. Congratulations to the winners and to everyone that submitted an entry.

From the titles alone..they surely are!

Hi @naturalmedicine, I'm @checky ! While checking the mentions made in this post I noticed that @cresendoofpeace, @metemetheus and @freyafri don't exist on Steem. Did you mean to write @crescendoofpeace, @metametheus and @frejafri ?

Such a great challenge and thank you!
I hope I will have more time for the next contest, this one was a bit rushed!
Looking so much forward to get to know the next 3 plants! :D

Thanks so much, @naturalmedicine. . . this was a great challenge, and I'll still be posting on basil soon, and will ultimately still do a post on elacampane.

You've inspired me, because the latter is an herb I keep running across, but have not grown or used myself, which is ridiculous since I have lifelong respiratory issues.

Looking forward to the next challenge, and hopefully I'll get all three done this time. ;-)

I recently learned about chlorine dioxide. The cancertutor has a great article about it. In order to effect more cells it should be mixed with dmso.
