New cryptocurrency: Solvi [IDEA]

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago (edited)

As humanity evolves, we have more ways to be connected, news travels fast, new products can make millions after a release, information for any topic is available in seconds yet as we continue our evolution as humans we have still something that has followed us since ancestral times, problems.

Evolution itself is based on changes, changes to adapt, to grow, to survive or to solve a problem like reaching a tree that is too high.

There are problems or situations that we can't or want to wait years or months to be solved, we want them solved today.

What if cryptocurrencies could help us with that?

My name is Nerio Parra, welcome to my blog.

Nowadays one of the best ways to make money is to solve problems, and for some, this is very obvious but for me, once I understood this, everything changed.

Imagine you have a problem, this problem bothers you, makes your life a living hell and you have tried for some time to get over with it and solve it once for all, but you can't!.

How many times have you heard? "I would give anything for", well, some people sell umbrellas when it's raining, and the more we advance the more we pay attention to solve our problems and how to live a better life.

The Market

Before moving on, it's important to understand one of the main market and economy aspects, which is offer and demand.

I am going to put this with my own words but you can always Wikipedia it.

For each seller, there is a buyer and the meeting point is the price. Once the buyer is willing to pay what the seller is asking for or once the seller is willing to accept the price the buyer offers then we have a deal.

True Market

There are many "types" of markets but once you starting buying and selling (trading) investment instruments like asset, stocks, bond, commodities, futures and even cryptocurrencies, you see and understand how a market behaves in a whole different way.

Something really curious to me is a bidding market, auctions in general. The bids, the starting price, the "buy now price" and the race that begins once an auction starts.

One place where I did learn about auctions was Ebay, when I owned a used Ps3 games store I used to bid on games lot where if I won I was getting games half price or a least underpriced, but I can tell you its a rollercoaster, because when there are 10 minutes left for the auction to end, then the bidding game begins and when someone beats the top bidder the clock with the time left restarts and a war to win the race continues until the time runs out .

this next video is not even close as wild, fast and crazy as a hot auction on eBay, but this is the big players/whales game, just see how more than 100.000.000usd is just a number haha

(no need to watch the entire video btw :) )

How much is your problem worth?

If people are willing to pay hundreds, thousands and even millions for a piece of art imagine how much would someone pay for a solution? so the real question is, how much is the solution to your problem worth?

Reddit, Youtube, Twitter, and Wikipedia have become beacons of information, places where people look for anything, also Freelancer, Fiver, and Upwork have as well become important, but in a different way, the last three are becoming common places where one group of people hire skilled individuals while the rest provide their talents in exchange for money.

A decentralized problem solving / solution provider platform

Imagine a person who has had two root canal surgeries and still his/her dental problem is not solved and needs a professional, how much is that person willing to pay?

Imagine someone who had an accident and needs plastic surgery, how much is that person willing to pay to have his/her surgery done? or maybe a personal example, I have a hard drive and it's broken but I have heard that professionals can repair it but I haven't been able to find one.

Or for example, importing goods to Argentina is a headache (no door to door, like I used to import from the U.S to other countries before) you've got to investigate a lot and maybe the info you find is outdated.

Imagine someone who could help and guide you?

The platform would need a reputation voting system second to none better than Localbitcoins (if you haven't used it, its a very robust reputation system) where people could see your past "services", titles and achievements and years of experience, maybe with video reviews from people who were already served by the professional you are considering to choose.

Nowadays if we are sick we go to the doctor, if we need a wood table with exact measures/exact style we go to a carpenter if we don't like what Ikea or home depot and similar sites have, if a pipe leaks we call a plumber and so on, we are used to go and solve our problems but what if the solution could come to us? the paradigm shift could happen since we might be ready for it already and one of the main goals of technology is to help us.

what was the bidding for?

At first, the platform might only have designers, photographers, translators, writers, developers, developers and more developers, then teachers, accountants, lawyers, and maybe later on, more delicate stuff, like doctors.

But after the point where the platform becomes popular, at that moment, comes another problem, which is the ratio of professionals and people in need of help of some sort, maybe there is 1 doctor for every 100 patients or 1000? what is the ratio for other professionals and talented/skilled people? people who can solve, help, fix things/situations?

(in the image above you see the common market place, one solution provider for many possible customers )

An auction can sometimes set the right price of a product or service because there is a limited amount of people who can provide a service but also sometimes there is a limited amount of money people is willing to pay.

For example, how many things can people do for 5$? it's amazing you just go to fiver and find out. Another example would be these services that deliver your food to your home like Uber eats or rappi (Argentina), all I know is when technology and the internet comes for your business, things change, the classical example of Amazon and retail stores, Uber and taxies, Airbnb and real state, and of the most interesting ones, cryptocurrencies and banking.

First things first

Before starting the platform would need to begin with a very capable group of solution providers so that initial group could evaluate the new solution providers coming into action.

The "deals" or agreements or trades would be carried in a smart contract where if the person who provided the service accomplished his/her task or part of the deal then the contract would pay.

The reputation system would allow to measure someone's skills and also would measure you as a customer.

The platform would need managers or hunters, people dedicated to connect people for example, just like a realtor/broker in real state connects a person who is renting his/her house with someone who is looking for a place to stay and just like steemit give us free money to vote on people daily based on our SP then the platform could benefit people providing solutions and connecting people.

Have you had a problem you would have loved to pay for it to be solved?

As an immigrant for me (a Venezuelan) is really hard to have a passport and I do know for a fact, thousands of Venezuelans would pay more than 300usd to have it instantly or a least within a week or a decent amount of time, if you do the math, how many people linked to the "right" people would accept the challenge?
