Suma Beach Kobe, Japan

Greetings Hivers,

Today I’d like to introduce you to a great place for an evening walk. It's Suma Beach 🏖️ located in Kobe, Japan. You can access the beach from the JR Suma station 🚆 or if you're driving there are several paid parking spaces nearby.

Evening Walk by the beach
I took these pictures one evening on my way home from work. I decided to stop and take a few shots with my phone, walk along the beach and take in some fresh air. It was quite relaxing after a long day. The place was pretty quiet as not many people are around in the evening. I noticed a few people jogging or taking an evening walk as well. The walkway is paved and well lit so it’s very scenic.

You can see Awaji Island 🏝️ south west from the beach as well as the silhouette of the hilly interior projecting into the seascape from the north. Like most places, there are a few hotels along the beach.

Summer Beach 🏖️
In contrast, the beach is a very popular hangout spot during the hot summer months. At that time, many temporary structures are erected for summer activities including restaurants and shops for beachwear and water sports.

If you’re ever in Kobe and want to take a quiet evening walk, any time after 5:00pm should be good. Otherwise, if you prefer more excitement, then the summer months may be for you. Either way, check out Suma Beach in Kobe Japan.

@noemilunastorta Kobe us a great city. There are many things to do and see from the sea to the mountains.
