El mes de junio es un mes bastante especial en el estado Lara en Barquisimeto Venezuela, durante estas fechas se conmemora una fiesta religiosa cultural en honor a san Antonio de Padua. Realmente no tengo mucha simpatía por el aspecto religioso, sin embargo la connotación cultural es algo que corre por mis venas desde que tengo uso de la razón.
El tamunangue es una representación musical que involucra bailes corográficos e improvisados al igual que las 6 o 7 piezas musicales que se interpretan según la zona donde se ejecute. Resaltar que es única y su origen data desde los tiempos de la colonia.
En campo alegre, caserío aledaño del pueblo de Curarigua de Leal se hace una representacion muy particular y autóctona, ha sido alabada por cultores muy respetados del estado pues se conservan muchas de las cosas que sucedían en esos primeros años de expresión cultural y que va mas allá del acto como tal, sino que también en la preparación previa. Como ejemplo de esto es la preparación de las varas y el adorno característico que se puede apreciar y así otras cosas mas.
Lo cierto es que en Campo Alegre es una fiesta total y lo mas hermoso es que las puertas siempre están abiertas para el que quiera disfrutar del evento. Así, todos sabemos que es una oportunidad para el reencuentro familiar, amigos y allegados.
Ojala pueda seguir asistiendo y disfrutando de estas manifestaciones de mi pueblo donde mi corazón siempre baila al ritmo del tambor, cuatro y las maracas.

Campo Alegre comes alive during this festival, and what makes it even more beautiful is that the doors are always open to anyone who wishes to partake in the festivities. It is a time for family, friends, and loved ones to come together and celebrate.
