Hello everyone, welcome to week 65 of the AfriTunes community music presentation. This week, I decided to sing another gospel song by Yadah titled Beyond Me. Yadah is a Nigerian female gospel artiste who hails from the southern part of Nigeria.
I chose this song because God has been beyond faithful. Looking at how flawed I am, I never seem worthy of all the love God has bestowed. Falling sick made me realize that I should never be given reasons to praise. The things I thought were insignificant such as the ability to sleep, swallow food, taste things etc, I realized were very massive and worth praising God for. Last week felt like hell. Everything was a struggle. Sleeping, tasting food, chewing food, swallowing. My mouth was sour and my teeth were hurting so I couldn't chew. For these basic things I'm grateful.
Yadah - Beyond Me
People are dying daily for reasons I don't understand. We've lost three students in my school this past week. While I don't intend to capitalize on anyone's misfortune, it just makes me realize that life is just God's grace. It has nothing to do with my efforts, it's purely grace. For this I'm grateful.
I chose to sing Yadah's Beyond Me the slow way because it allows me to absorb the meaning of the song and the melody as well. I hope you enjoy the song.
