I am a huge fan of music regardless of the language it is in, because what I love in music is always the voice singing, the melody, the harmony and most importantly the lyrics and feelings I get from it.
So yeah, a music will be incomplete to me and I want to believe to many others if it should lack these details. I'm still wondering how I got the habit I have towards music, I tend to know the really good ones but also find those time to find something good in one's tagged bad.
Well, I have said it, music should have a lot to be considered one to listen to and one artist I've come to love his kind of music is... Jay Melody, a Tanzanian artist.
The first time I came across his song was when I was playing around on Tiktok and a user did a video with his song. I didn't know the artist behind the song but I loved what I hearing (the melody) and so I searched the song in Google and the name of the artist turned out to be Jay Melody. Imagine that feeling you get when you know what you heard and you see a name to tag what you heard... Melody.
I fell in love with this artist immediately and he gained a fan because I kept stalking him finding out more of his songs. All his songs are sang in the Swahili language but I didn't care because that wasn't what I was after, the language even made the song more melodious, if you ask me.
Today's for #ttt where we get to share three tunes/songs for the week and I'm more than honoured to share with you this amazing artist I came across by chance.
Three tunes from the African artist... Jay Melody
This is the song I heard first and the very reason he gained a fan out of me. It's a love song but I didn't know that the first time I listened to it since it was just used as a theme song for a random video on Tiktok. But after watching his official video, checking up the lyrics meaning, I got to know that it is a sweet love song hehe.
I like the part where he said something about "Pepper pepper body, lemon and salt sprinkled" ๐ it actually made me laugh and feeling that he was lacking words to use in describing the lady's stature lol. But yeah, it didn't matter when you sing it in the language he used so the song is cool.
So I'm suggesting this song to you if you haven't listened to it before, I did a cover of it on my blog too but I don't think there's need to share it here ๐ it wasn't as amazing as the original so listen to the original.
I recently had this song downloaded and it has been on a steady repeat when I am busy offline. I always love to listen to songs when I work and this song seem to be just it anytime, the vibe, the beat and the melody are all on point. Of course, it has the love lyrics like the others but I like the beat on this one more.
There's nothing much to say about this song but yes, it meets the criteria I love in music and as usual he sang it so melodiously... The beats is a lot of extras that I love too. Do listen to the song as well and let me know what you think about it.
I also got this one recently, the lyrics aren't much of a difference as it is a love song too. And surprisingly I gave the reaction that this artist has his own signature on all his songs... That melody in his songs is his signature, they are almost sounding alike to me haha. But I love it, I guess that is even what makes me love his songs.
He has a beautiful voice and he's using it on happy love songs that always sound better with voices like his. It's even a bonus that it is in his own language, a lovely language...Swahili.
These are my three favourites from his songs and I hope to find more from him. Until then, I'll continue to enjoy these African tunes from one of my favourite African artist.
