Strečno in the mist, Malá Fatra, Slovakia

The castle was built between the 14th and 17th centuries. It was replaced by many owners who adapted the castle to the defensive needs of its time.
Therefore, it is very irregular and structurally complex. It was destroyed at the end of the 17th century during the Thököly uprising.
At the end of the 20th century it was adapted for the needs of the local historical museum.
