I had a reasonably smooth day today. I took 10 children to the Oval after they had their morning snack. I was observing two children kicking a soccer ball to each other so I thought I'd take them out to a bigger field to play soccer. A lot of children wanted to come, however, I could only take 10 with me for the safety of everyone and for easy supervision, plus the ratio must only be 10:1.
After 2 PM, there were 4 educators for 17 children. It was over ratio actually but because we had a lot of children that needed one-to-one supervision, it was really great to have extra help.
Because of that, I was able to finish work just before 5 PM and I could go home early despite having a full day shift. I did grocery shopping after work and then went home to cook dinner. I cooked Pancit Palabok, which is a Filipino noodle dish in shrimp sauce. My recipe only had squids, shrimps and eggs. But because my husband is still fasting, I didn't put any meat or egg in his plate. I added boiled eggs in mine. It was delicious!
