Everyone of us would face times of challenges and our down moments.
Life is not always smooth sailing and there may be days of storm.

While we are waiting for the rain and storm to pass, our bodies may be shivering due to coldness of our surrounding.
The cold wind does not have mercy on us and it may blow even stronger as we wait.
A day is like a year and we are just waiting for everything to end soon.
Challenge Our Hearts
There are so many challenges that we face in life. As I was writing this article, there was an insect that was flying in my son’s room.
This insect can be a challenge to my son and he may even run out of the room to hide somewhere else.
Fear of unknown and worry of the circumstances are often our enemies to a peaceful heart.

When our hearts are challenged, our hearts may just become stronger.
Challenges are often opportunities to build us to become stronger and better when we choose not to give up.
Since avoidance cannot let us escape from our challenges, we need to face them bravely to overcome them.
Recharge
During challenging times, our drive can be low so we need to recharge and find back our drive again.
Below are two motivational notes written by my ex-students to me.

I pasted many motivational notes from my ex-students on my cabinet at my work desk in the Teacher Room.
In the past, we may not find a need for them. Many years later, they become our source of emotional support especially when we feel like giving up since we are not appreciated like how we were in the past.
Reading notes written to us often can boost us and we can continue to push forward to overcome our challenges.
It is like the written words from the bible that gives us faith to believe what we are doing.
Those written words remind us that what we are doing can make a positive impact in the future even if we do not see the result now.
We Are Not Alone
The challenges that we face are not new as many of our peers may have already gone through them.
By knowing our peers had gone through these challenges, we know we can do the same.

Our successful peers are often our role models and imitations.
When we know all these, we do not feel we are alone in this and we can seek advice from others with a humble heart.
There are many who are willing to stretch out their hands to us when we stretch out ours to them.
In Conclusion
Those little notes from my students were written from their hearts of gratitude.
Their gratitude can move our hearts to have the desire to impact the lives of many more students that come across our path.
We cannot move the mountain but we can move each stone one at a time.
Each stone that we remove is making the pathway less rocky.

We cannot change everything and everyone but we can make a difference one at a time within our reach.
