Like most people I have always thought of the possibility of making a living off of the internet. Of course this has mostly been a pipe dream as all the opportunities I have found online are mostly people selling something which they themselves have been conned into buying, this is the experience of most people who have come online with this purpose on their minds.
Yes, there are a million opportunities online but most of them involve conning other people in a never ending chain that always finds new links via the new people who search for money making opportunities. Some of these are like the e book you buy because it has a nice ad and once you buy it and read it, all it says is to start your own campaign selling the same ebook so others too, can fall for it.
The other one which many people think is the real deal is the one which shows you how to create your own list which will allow you to email your offers to, depending on the size of your list, hundreds, thousands or even hundreds of thousands of readers who are potential buyers. Now this one has always baffled me, if everyone has a list they sell to wouldn't this in time just become a vicious circle with everyone sending promotional emails to everyone? And besides who opens emails from people they don't even know?
So, after trying some of these things out (fortunately I am cheap and not too trusting, so I don't spend money on these things just the free trial) and seeing none of them work I can say that social media like Steemit is a good opportunity, I really have made some money off of it, I have sold some Steem and it has gotten me out of some tight spots, it has not been life changing but it has helped.
So I think this is really one option for making money and with all of the new social media out there some of them are really likely to make some good money for some people, so I would say this is a good way to go.
In the same approximate area is crypto trading, a lot of people have made a lot of money with this, putting money into new alts and cashing in when their price shoots sky high, I have never even tried this as I have no idea how it works, yes I know buy low and sell high but the question is when, how to take advantage of this etc.
I have also tried games online and have never made much, but again without investing any money so all is good, the only place where I have spent real money (It is Steem but to me it has value) is on Steemslotgames, and I can say that I haven't really lost there and I have played a lot I think I am one of the top spinners there, and I have no strategy I just put the thing on auto and let it go, but it definitely isn't a money maker for me, I am grateful I am about even there. And I have put in some Steem in Drug Wars so I get a little amount every day which is OK. SteemMonsters I tried but to be competitive you have to invest a lot of Steem and frankly I don't have it so I quit.
Then there is the freelancer way, hire out for online freelancing jobs, this one seems great but is it? I have no way of knowing this except the following just last week I applied for one of these jobs it entailed medical related searches online, you have to work 8 hours a day and you get about $4.00 an hour, how they know how many hours you actually put in I don't know, but what really turned me off is I had to go searching other people's data online which to me is like intruding on them and then I don't know what these results are used for. Not that much money, but enough for here, but the 8 hours would make it seem like a real job outside so I decided not to go through with it.
Talking about which I actually won 55 Steem today on Steemslotgames, about $25.00, which would be OK if I could make this every day as it is automated, but of course I won today and feel great I will probably lose tomorrow and feel lousy.
So how about you guys, have you any ideas about making money online? Of course without investing because if I had money I would buy a big chunk of some crypto and just wait for it to moon, it probably will and I would make a lot of money. And yes I know this is a gamble I could also lose most of my money but what is life without risks?
