Too true. I can't stand that expression "We are all born equal." That is easy to say for a rich person with surrounded by everything they need. But we are born into citizenships, and many of us are born stateless, so I think that is far from being born equal.

We must become something we have never been and for which our education and experience and environment have ill-prepared us. !ENGAGE 15

I know what you mean... It's sad that people aren't as curious and I'm not sure if we can expect the rich to be emphatic to others who live otherwise. What struck me years ago and got me to believe that we indeed aren't all born equal, even if we're equal in the eyes of God.
