It is exhausting and never gets any easier. I just tune everything out and put in my earbuds, but I do miss all the random conversation with strangers I used to have while cycling in Cambodia.
It's just a completely different world here, and there are days where I cycle 30 miles or more downtown and see less than 50 other cyclists. It also feels safer in Cambodia when cycling because you are usually part of a swarm of other cyclists numbering 20 to 100, so cars tend to respect the flock. !ENGAGE 10
