One of the reasons I decided to breed Fern again was because she was getting so nesty and the edginess which comes with it. Rabbits don't seem come out of it for long without mating or being spayed, however. She'd had a good break and I'm grateful this litter was a small, healthy one. She's been content since her day with Polar Bear too.
There are so many breeding concerns. The first pregnancy is always particularly risky for mum and further pregnancies aren't always guaranteed to go smoothly, either. I know of a woman who breeds boxers and always has them in for a cesarean because there's to much risk with a natural birth for them. Over breeding? Is it right keep breeding when they are no longer capable of breeding naturally themselves? It's a tough question. This woman is obviously very fond of her dogs and selective with their homes, but docking their tails and pinning ears doesn't seem to be an issue with her, where it would be for me.
