Never heard about Dennis 😞 I guess he wasn’t popular in Germany... nevertheless I love striped knitted sweaters (especially in red/black) as they remind me of the eighties clothes. I wore such striped sweaters much later as a reminiscence to punk style 😂 I remember an older friend who had a huge ‚Teller‘ named hairstyle which I found super stylish and cool and he always wore this destroyed striped sweater.
But back to your sweater. I love the thick/thin wool: the thicker parts seem to form a pattern. So lovely 😊
And you knit incredibly fast, the body is almost finished - wow. I still have this one incompleted cardigan in my box of shame which has a similar construction. It is knitted bottom up with slanted shoulders which are built by wrap and turn short rows. But it is currently sleeping..... I hardly remember what I did (oh noooo, cold sweat on my forehead)

And with the hood... I only made one for a baby jacket in crochet, but I remember that it was really big in comparison to the cardigans body and used up much wool ....
