I have been considering something similar to try but looking how I can eventually “live off the land.” I am often reading up on where would be a great place to do this with accessibility and affordability in the future. Fun so far but eye-opening giving all the learnings needed.

Man this something that I have also been trying to do. Since my father is a farmer (now he is 'retired'), so it's not as big a leap for me as most of the people out there.
Living off the land is an unrealized dream for many of us. Based on my conversations here during the last year, I found this to be especially true for many steemians. Personally I find the idea of living off the land to be a better option than all other option out there - both health wise and finances wise (sustainable).
