Always a compromise between camera size and the possibility of better photos... even so, those photos are still awesome! And had never seen a peahen doing that too!

Thank you very much! I'm sure I could do a lot better on the in-flight stuff with a better lens, it too slow to focus. The thing is, I question if it's worth the money. I like my DSLR for in-flight bird photos. I might do that next week, I've got like a zillion duck photos from the past few days.
Totally understand you... my bridge camera is a pain in the a$# in what comes to quick focus!
I honestly thought a bridge camera might do better than what I was experiencing. The zoom lens we have is super cheap - it's about $100 new and very slow especially when something is coming towards me. Next week I'm doing all in-flight shots with my DsLR :-)
