I had to laugh, despite the painting of sides I don't believe most fall under. I think for the most part the agreements between people are more than those pitting us against one another with scripts want us to know. There is a dis-ease in the system that is a reaction to the inhumane lives we have been corralled to live under. Not so sure for many on the left if it can be simplified as laziness, or being purer to themselves. And I say that as a chump who resents paying others bills via wealth redistribution (because I sure as hell scrimp by and am not wealthy).

People are not the programs placed in them, although the results of those programs acting on others is all to real. We all have them, and it is the rare person I have met who seems aware enough not to succumb at times into autopilot on them.

I don't think there are solutions that are more than temporary, as if the civil war ever came about as you describe, the evil script masters will be waiting in their bunkers to come back up and start the scripts going again as they have the next wave of solutions ready for everyone.

And therein is the biggest problem

"A young person who is not a Democrat has never learned to feel. An older person who is not a Republican has never learned to think."

Of course, the reality is that most Republicrats put thinking over feels... however, they are the most charitable. It is not a 100% all one way or the other.

But, the narrative is defining the sides, defining the boxes that people can live in.
And so, the solution is outside the box. Which means getting rid of the left-right paradigm.

Still, do you know how hard it is to find an artist with a work ethic? Getting artists to get work done on time is ... it borders on the impossible.

And getting a dyed in the wool mechanic to think outside the box is truly a miracle.

So, the sides are there, we will have to learn to work together.
Just like men and women will have to learn to work together (now that that relationship has been all but destroyed)

This is what I try to convince others of as I walk among them. More so those on the left, as they are more prone to finding ways to bring up the orange man and it is a great opportunity to talk about how they are all corrupt, both parties laughing at how stupid their sheep are at buying the scripted narratives. I have been nicely surprised to find many are open to listening once they realize I am not defending what they railed against (the orange man as they have nick named him).
