I drove into London for about 19 years, but not the centre. It was bad enough and I changed jobs to get away from all those wasted hours. I had a few times when I was stuck for hours. Now I have 10 minutes on a train to work.

I remember at the time there was a new system coming in called London waiting which was an added incentive for working in London for all it's hardships. I don't know if it ever happened or not but they would of had to double my salary to keep me doing that and even then maybe not.
You were smart getting out.
