I'm glad to read that people could learn at least one new thing from my posts 😅
When looking at your own pictures I could see why the Surinamers might think that, you could easily go for one of us. But in Suriname there are a lot of people of many colors and ethnicities. A friend of mine, who has Asian descent, is now living in another part of the world and people often mistake him as from the Philippines and he constantly needs to tell them he's from South America.

And we indeed have a lot of mixed people here in this generation, but there are still people who marry inside of their own culture. But that's their prerogative I guess, what feels comfortable. But we do try as a people, to at least listen and learn from each other. Some are more open to it than others.
