Does the landlord sell the eggs or use the eggs themselves?
My family from my mothers side used to eat these lizards. I don't know about now though but haven't seen them prepare it for a long time. There were a lot of these lizards in my grandparents backyard and when my grandad was younger, he catched the lizard, did a prayer and killed it. Then my grandma prepared it or my grandfather. I don't think I've ever eaten it though, because it's ugly and weird looking 🙈
