Venezuela 30 hours and Counting in a Blackout...

We are a country that only has 23 states, and as of now 09.40pm on the 08th of march 2019, 18 of those states are out of power, we have been in this situation for more than 30 hours, I currently live in one of those states, in Anzoátegui to be precise, I have power right now, the whole day the power has come and gone and we are currently thanking all the gods that we still got it, I have family in other cities of the same state (my dad) that is still going through this blackout, my mom and sister with my nephew are in the state of Carabobo and I couldn’t call them or know anything about them until 2hours ago when my sister was able to text me back, she doesn’t have power yet her cellphone had die and there is no where to charge it, she manage to get a car charger and was able to get 30% battery on her phone, only to see that she didn’t had any signal from her cell company, why? Cause the country is in a blackout and the phone companies are struggling to keep connections going.

On top of the fact that they have more than 30hours without electrical power, they also don’t have any running water at home (they live in a building the pipes run with electricity so, power= no water) imagine going 30hours without power and water at home with a little kid of 2 years old (my nephew).

I want you to imagine what is like, and in my case or my sister, mom and dad case is not as bad as others, we don’t have anyone in the hospital connected to a ventilator and having to give them manual respiration and hoping for the power to return cause our love ones may die, but there are many that are in that situation, little babies dying cause of this, our country is in total blackout and not only cause of the power, but also cause you turn on the news from the local channels and according to the people in the current government everything is alright they already fix it and all is fault of the EEUU.

Cause of the power going out, we have trouble buying food, getting transportation, getting medical assistance, people are dying, is just so frustrating to be living like this, so infuriating!!!
