This situation is used by retail traders to sell fuel to remote areas of the village.
Based on the author's interview with Mr. M. Kasem, in general the types of fuel that are traded are premium or often referred to as gasoline, diesel oil and kerosene. Retailers who sell BBM can be found in almost all areas of Lhoksukon District. We can find retailers of retail gasoline on the side of the road and even kiosks that only sell gasoline that has been prepared in bottles of used mineral water.

According to Mr. Muhammad, who has been selling oil in retail since 2003, the type of fuel most sold is gasoline, considering that people who live far from gas stations need a lot of gasoline for motorbikes. He added that kerosene was also sold by many retailers because it was sought after by many buyers, especially by housewives for cooking. As for diesel oil, retailers generally only sell it during the season down to the fields, because diesel oil is specifically for tractor machines to plow fields, so if not sold during the season down to the fields it will not sell.
The practice of buying and selling is commonly done by the community in general. As is the case in the practice of buying and selling fuel oil at retail traders in Lhoksukon District. Buying and selling fuel oil is basically the same as buying and selling others. There are some retailers who specialize in selling fuel oil, but most of them sell a variety of other people's needs.

Retailers usually buy petrol and diesel oil at public gas stations by using motorbikes and filling them in jerry cans which are usually done at gas stations every day.
Especially for kerosene, retailers do not buy them from gas stations, but retailers buy them directly from kerosene agents in the area that distribute kerosene with tankers. Purchase kerosene to the agent by way of ordering where the owner of the base comes to the agent by paying money that has been adjusted to the price at that time multiplied by the allotment he will receive. Since the government began to convert kerosene to LPG gas, the share of kerosene from agents to retailers began to be reduced.
From the author's observation, after the traders bought oil from the gas station, when they arrived at the shop or shop where they were selling, the gasoline oil would be transferred into a bottle of mineral water using a one-liter size measure. However, in filling it in the bottle, the seller sometimes intentionally does not fulfill the dosage so that the oil filled into the bottle does not reach one liter. Traders argue that the profits they take are very few, only Rp. 500 If it is sold at a price of Rp. 8,000 per liter, even though the traders also have to bear the potential losses because the gasoline evaporates so that the amount is indirectly reduced.
According to Mr. Musliadi as a retailer who is specialized in selling fuel oil, generally those who are buyers of fuel oil are those around him, but there are also those from outside the area who cross the road in the area. The process of retail oil buying is carried out between the seller and the buyer, usually buyers who want to buy gasoline because they run out of gas in the middle of a trip or do not want to fill oil to a Public Fuel Station (SPBU) because the distance is quite far and eventually buy retail gasoline to retailers. While for diesel oil buyers are usually tractor agents who will use the diesel oil for tractors to plow the fields. Especially kerosene is usually purchased by mothers...
