Hello great people, welcome to my blog here on Hive
The theme for this week’s HIVE Open mic week 272 “RING THE BELLS” is profound and one I recon with wholesomely. “Ring The Bells” symbolizes a call for an awakening, to keep awake, to remind and bring to consciousness some issues of life that affects us individually and corporately as a people and even as a nation. I did an acoustic guitar cover of the song titled “Ring the Bells” by James performing Ring The Bells. (C) 1992 Mercury Records Limited.
The opening part of the song reminds me of the scripture which says “Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;” (Joel 2:1 KJV).
The song talks about the situation confronting the town as though the people are sleeping and need an awakening. As it angers the writer more than sleep that the issue at hand is not something to sleep on. Particularly these lines stood out for me: “I no longer feel my God is watching over me

See through all your walls”
I love the arrangement of the lyrics of this song, it's beautifully coined to a poetic tone with an artistic aesthetics. The instrumental gives a perfect interpretation of the entire song well synced with the song and the dynamics well defined .
Here's the message, as humans we sometimes feel like God is missing in action (MIA) and we fail to understand that God will never leave nor forsake us. He is in fact always there even when we don’t feel him, this is why we must break out of this illusion by pressing on to him in prayer and in the word of God as an awakening to all.
