This morning I started my day as usual, with a steaming cup of coffee in my hand. The distinctive aroma of coffee seemed to awaken my spirits and provide a sense of calm before I began my various activities. Outside, the morning air was fresh and the sound of birds added to the peaceful atmosphere around the house.
After enjoying my coffee, I continued sewing a peci (traditional Indonesian cap). This activity has become part of my daily routine, and every small stitch feels meaningful. Sewing a peci is not only an act of worship, but also the result of perseverance and patience.
The rhythmic sound of the sewing machine accompanied my morning until midday.
In the afternoon, after the sewing was completed, I moved on to my next routine: delivering bread to several regular shops. Today my route was shorter than usual, only to the rural areas surrounding my home. Although short, the trip was still enjoyable. The quiet village roads, the trees along the roadside, and the friendly greetings from the locals always bring a special warmth.
After all the bread was delivered, I returned home relieved that the day's work had gone well. Before the day ended, I took the time to return to the garden and check on the mung bean plants I planted earlier. Unfortunately, some of the seeds didn't grow as expected.
I decided to replant the mung bean seeds. I carefully sowed new seeds into the holes, hoping they would grow well this time. Although simple, gardening always brings a sense of calm. Seeing the soil, the plants, and the small but precious processes of life makes me even more grateful for every moment I've been given today.
The day ended with a sense of satisfaction. From enjoying morning coffee, sewing peci hats, delivering bread, to replanting mung beansit all became part of a productive and meaningful day.
